With more than 16 years of experience in marketing and communications, including working for a Fortune 500 company, being a published journalist for one of the largest newspapers in the U.S., working as part of a team who managed crisis communications when the Astrodome was used as a shelter after Hurricane Katrina, handling events and collaborating PR efforts with celebrities and major sports teams, launching a marketing department for Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, establishing a communications department as Director, Communications for The Indianapolis Public Library, and now, as an entrepreneur, Kim is an expert in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and inclusive marketing and communications, including social media.

From facilitating workshops to keynote presentations, leading webinars, and being featured on TV, radio, podcasts and in print, Kim Crowder is all about taking on new challenges.

She is also a professional singer and speaker who has sung classically, jazz, and alternative R&B, and even with Beyoncé. Her speaking engagements are focused on empowering women in business, including selling out Linking Indy Women.

Kim is a native of Houston, TX, and has been in the Midwest for over eight years. When she is not enjoying her professional endeavors, you can find Kim listening to podcasts and audiobooks, Latin dancing, or enjoying family and friends.
